International workshop on “AUGMENTED EDUCATION AND CIVIL SOCIETY LEARNING/TRAINING METHODS”

The international workshop on “AUGMENTED EDUCATION AND CIVIL SOCIETY LEARNING/TRAINING METHODS” of SME Academy Avignon was held successfully on Monday October 23rd, at the premises of VUB AI Experience Center at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

The workshop, which has been organized in the framework of Erasmus+ Create 4.0 project (“Crafts Atelier”), provided a forum for presentation and discussion of innovative research and policies which focuses on the implementation of augmented reality approaches on the education and training for SMEs and businesses, within the contact of the European policy framework. The main focus of the event was on:

– the possibility of using the augmented education methods in VET
– the opportunity of giving the project results to a European perspective
– how to exploit the project results in fields different from the educational ones
– the necessity of taking the AI ​​into account starting from the augmented education methods

The event has been registered in the European Week of Vocational Skills of EU (23rd-27th October, 2023).

The workshop hosted officials from the European Commission, European Economic and Social Committee, universities and academia, national and European stakeholders and representatives from business associations across Europe.
The key findings of the workshop were presented to exchange best practices and encourage the use of the results also in fields different from the original ones. A special attention was paid in envisaging the possible applications of the project methodologies during the project after-life (exploitation) and their use in further initiatives.
